About Us

In August of 1989 , inspired by their own recent marriage, Jim and Denise Frericks began Jadlyn Wedding Consultants to help fill the need for knowledgeable wedding planners in the Akron/Canton area. In September of 1990, they had grown enough to incorporate, becoming Jadlyn Incorporated. Contact with local brides and bridal-related merchants led them to realize a greater need for a local informational resource for engaged couples. Thus, Today’s Bride Magazine and Bridal Shows were born. And NOW in 2010 Jadlyn Incorporated/Today’s Bride is proud to celebrate 21 YEARS in the wedding industry and is widely considered the “bridal authority” in the Northeast Ohio area.

Today’s Bride revolutionized the wedding market by combining a comprehensive wedding magazine/planner, high-caliber bridal shows and the vast access of information on the Internet.

Today’s Bride Magazine is an annual publication with 2 editions for the following areas: Cleveland and Akron/Canton. Today’s Bride is in a jumbo 9 ½ x 12” format with a modern layout and design that guides readers to the local advertisers including a detailed wedding planner to assist the bride in her entire bridal planning process. Today’s Bride has a comprehensive distribution which includes free copies to engaged couples via the advertisers’ retail locations, area bridal shows, direct mail and available for sale on our website todaysbride.com.

Today’s Bride shows are the largest, most prominent bridal events in the Midwest. Over 500 businesses exhibit at the shows each season. Having produced nearly 100 bridal shows in its career, Today’s Bride is recognized as the areas most experienced and respected bridal show producer. Our company now produces four shows per year with a total attendance of 15,000 people. Because of our commitment to the market and the advancements of our products and services, Today’s Bride shows does not have any significant competition in the Northeast Ohio area.

Today’s Bride revolutionized publishing by being one of the first wedding web sites in the nation in the early 90’s and was nationally recognized as a leader in the market. Today, www.todaysbride.com averages over 35,000 unique visitors and more than 103,000 page views per month. For a Northeast Ohio bridal/wedding niche market, these numbers are huge and attribute to the overall success of the magazine and bridal shows.

  1. I am trying to find out how the favors on the front cover of the Magazine for Summer 2010 are made. They are light and dark pink with bows around middle. I would really appreciate it.

    • We acquired that photo from one of our Cleveland photographers and unfortunately do not know who provided the favors. If you would like to contact the photographer, Rob Drago at RAD Photographer 440-266-1723 he may be able to tell you the name of the company who did the decorating. I hope this helps.

  2. I was checking out your website, and noticed that you have a blog where you talk about various wedding and honeymoon trends and ideas. Our client, TheBigDay.com is an online honeymoon registry. They are giving away a honeymoon trip to Costa Rica worth $4,000 to couples who share their funny or outrageous “first date” stories. I thought the contest might be a good fit for your website and something of interest to your readers.

Visit: http://www.facebook.com/thebigdaycom for contest details. Please let me know if you need any other information, and if this giveaway might appeal to your readers of “Today’s Bride. We’d be so honored if you’d mention us. Honeymoon registries are a great way for couples who don’t want or need household items to get a special gift they can really enjoy.
